A.C. CHADWICK

Originally from the U.K., A.C. Chadwick holds a BA in Drama and Film, an MA in Screenwriting, and a Level 4 Diploma in Theatrical and Media Makeup Design.

She writes predominantly female-led fiction with a strong narrative voice, blending quirky, character-driven storytelling with a distinctly dark edge and unmistakable Southern Gothic influence.

Her work is heavily inspired by 1970s horror cinema and the American Southern rock music of the same era—an influence that runs throughout her screenplays and manuscripts. With a deep passion for nostalgia, Chadwick frequently sets her stories in the 1970s, aiming to transport readers back to a time when horror felt raw, visceral, and unapologetically primitive.

Chadwick also writes under the name Anna Whelan, exploring Southern romantic drama. While sharing a similar nostalgic sensibility—70s and 80s settings, rich music references, and small Southern-town atmospheres—her work as Whelan leans more toward emotional storytelling and romance.
